Year’s best trainees honored

The Chamber of Industry and Commerce Halle-Dessau (IHK) honored the 49 best graduates of the current exam year in further education. In festive setting, IHK President Carola Schaar and Vice Prime Minister of Saxony-Anhalt and Secretary of labor, social affairs and integration Petra Grimm-Benne gave their congratulations to the best graduates.

President Schaar said: “Statistic experts often show us here how long our way still is. But today we have reason to be happy: 116 of our graduates passed with an outstanding result, and more than thirty of them are best in their year.” This is proof for the quality of the companies maintaining traineeships in this region, emphasized Schaar. “The outstanding performances can also be credited to the good work that’s being done in the companies.” Secretary Grimm-Benne added: “Well and comprehensive training is the basis for a good start in professional life, for economic independence and for a successful professional career. Successful graduates can above all be found in companies where the main focus is put on well-founded and successful training.”

Overall, 36 training graduates from 32 companies and out of 33 professional fields were awarded. With at least 92 out of 100 possible points, they achieved the best exam results out of overall 4,253 graduates in the chamber’s district. Also at Finsterwalder everyone was very happy. Two of their trainees were amongst the year’s bests.
