Maristenkolleg in Mindelheim cooperates with Finsterwalder

“Cooperation” – this word was written on a board in bold letters at the Maristenkolleg. The school is now cooperating with the companies Finsterwalder in Türkheim and Grob in Mindelheim. The target is benefit for all, but above all for the students. The project was initiated by Anja Heusel from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Schwaben (IHK).

Grob and the Maristenkolleg have been cooperating for a longer time already. Grob’s target is above all to directly hand down information to the students. ‘”But we also value contact to the teachers with whom we can compare notes with very well,” emphasizes Werner Drexel, training manager. One third of Grob’s employees are former Maristenkolleg students, which points out the meaning of the cooperation, says Drexel.

Michael Finsterwalder, Managing Director of Finsterwalder, said that he’d also always remember the student’s wonderful music that day: “All I can do is three accords on the guitar; I have to admit I’m a little jealous!” Finsterwalder has not had close contact to the Maristenkolleg so far, but this is going to change now. Finsterwalder is looking forward to students who will do an internship at his company. Finsterwalder above all offers commercial professions.

Starting at tours through the company and internships over long-term internships to traineeships: There are many options. “The students already have one foot in the door, which can be very advantageous,” explained Rainer Göppel, teacher. (Source: www.augsburger-allgemeine.de)
