Bernhard John’s career began with a traineeship as a professional driver. After his successful completion he worked as bus-driver from 1977-1985. In 1985 he started his passion as professional truck driver at Kraftverkehr Merseburg. Since 1991 he has been working for Finsterwalder Transport GmbH.  John transports goods like granulate, caoutchouc and paper within Germany. Frequently he traveled abroad and his longest distance took him to Moscow.
Bernhard John especially talks about his first transport: “I transported pulp from Merseburg to Mainz. The freight weighed 22.000 kg and the truck had not more than 240 HP”.
He never regretted his decision to work at Finsterwalder because he feels good in the company. And also he would like to stress that he always felt accepted both personally and humanly.
John receives support and encouragement from his family for his - not always easy - job.  At the weekends Bernhard John enjoys the time at home with his wife. Both of them like riding the motorcycle, spending  lot’s of time in their garden or with their granddaughter. He is particularly proud of his son. Sören John works as forwarding manager at Finsterwalder, too.
At the end Bernhard John said: “I am satisfied and I hope I can drive my truck until I retire.”
