AEO stands for “Authorized Economic Operator” and is an international recognized seal of quality. A company that holds the status AEO is deemed to be exceptionally reliable and trustworthy. And thus, the approval is a quality feature towards customers and other business partners.
 
An essential part of the approval is the security of the supply chain in order to avoid economic risks for all parties involved. Hence, main requirement is the compliance with suitable processes and safety standards. The result herefrom is also fighting (international) terrorism and protecting the general public.
 
The certificate becomes important in cross-border goods traffic. Our customers profit here especially from the following aspects:

• Simplification of processes on the transportation route
• Standardization of customs handling
• More infrequent and faster control of goods
• Less delays and, thus, lower costs through customs relevant advantages

In order to receive the certification, it was necessary to guaranty the security of provided services in connection with third country goods throughout all departments and to prove such in an on-site audit in Türkheim.
 
And thus Finsterwalder is expanding its portfolio in international recognized certifications.
The plan is to extend the certification to more locations in our customers’ interest in the near future.
