The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Halle-Dessau (IHK) awards them as "Top Training Company 2016”.
On the occasion of a festive event IHK President Jens-Uwe Jahnke handed over winner trophies and certificates of honor to the winners. The companies are awarded with the price because they entrust their trainees with special tasks – for example at trade fairs.
Companies are also awarded for intensive cooperation or projects with schools, which are especially addressed to slow learners or foreign young people. “Here it has already long been bitter reality that there is a lack of young skilled workers and young managers,” says Jahnke. Less graduates, but more university starters – this means: “There is a lack of trainees in all industries.” And unfortunately, many youngsters aren’t mature enough for the requirements. According to Jahnke, the companies have to come up with good ideas in order to find and bind good employees through an excellent training. “But our competition shows: This is what they’re doing. And some companies stand out doing so!”

This year, more training companies than ever in the price’s six year history had applied.

57 companies submitted their documents to IHK last fall. A jury consisting of voluntary entrepreneurs engaged with the IHK and full time employees of IHK evaluated them. Criteria were, amongst others: Who showed special commitment for professional orientation and training in 2016? And who took steps to further qualify own trainers intensively?
The 25 awardees convinced the jury in the end.
