On 6 September 2018 the Minister for Climate protection, Agriculture and Energy of the state of Saxony-Anhalt Professor Dr. Claudia Dalbert officiated in the ceremonial presentation of the membership certificate at the House of Commerce in Magdeburg.
The Environmental Alliance of Saxony-Anhalt was founded in 1999. The Environmental Alliance is a cooperation between more than 240 business enterprises, professional associations, communities and the state government.
The alliance is under the sponsorship of the Minister President of the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
The prerequisite for membership is the obligation to fulfil one or more voluntary environmental protection achievements beyond the existing regulations. The measures adopted must embody qualitative and quantitative objectives and primarily have an impact on Saxony-Anhalt.
An exchange of information on current environmental policy topics takes place regularly between the state government and the members of the Environmental Alliance.
