Looking back with a ray of hope – the Lantern Festival in Halle (Saale)

With the onset of the darker season and the change to winter-time, we particularly like to look back on one of the highlights of the summer: the Lantern Festival in Halle (Saale).

Especially now, as the days grow shorter, we fondly remember the lights that made this festival shine. 💡

At the end of August, we had the opportunity to sponsor this traditional folk and heritage festival – a commitment that is very close to our hearts. We are filled with pride when we can contribute to traditions and bring people in our region together. 💛

The 88th Lantern Festival in 2025 attracted around 200,000 visitors to the Saale River – more than in any of the past 35 years! Between Ziegelwiese, Peißnitz Island, and the banks of the River Rive, people celebrated, marveled, and enjoyed themselves. A spectacular fireworks display, launched from three locations for the first time, was the sparkling highlight. 🎆

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who brought this festival to life – from the organizers to the numerous helpers! 🙌
