Initiative #LogistikHilft: Sanitary Facilities Free of Charge

Recently, a shower container for truck drivers was put into use at Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik in Lutherstadt Eisleben as part of the #LogistikHilft industry initiative.

Free Sanitary Facilities for Truck Drivers in Germany

Since its foundation in 1937, the medium-sized Finsterwalder Group, managed by its owners, has always been committed to the well-being of its drivers and accepted its responsibility towards them, especially now in Corona times. So, Finsterwalder quickly found its suitable place for the shower container.

The installation of the shower container was organised in cooperation with the following organisations: Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik, the Doc Stop Team, the Bundesverband Güterkraftverkehr und Entsorgung (BGL) e.V. as well as the Landesverband des Verkehrsgewerbes Sachsen-Anhalt (LVSA) e.V. The rent for the sanitary facilities is covered by the supporters of the initiative.

The shower container is already available to all truck drivers, free of charge. It can be accessed by means of an app, the KRAVAG Truck Parking App, which is available in the Google Play Store / Apple App Store. Today, at 157 locations, 13 of which are in Saxony-Anhalt, free sanitary facilities can be used with this app.
