In the first three hours alone, over 3,000 visitors, mainly schoolchildren from Halle, the Saalekreis district and surrounding towns and communities, came to find out what the possibilities of finding their dream job were. When the fair was over, as in previous years, about 10,000 people had taken advantage of this education, job and start-up fair to compare available offers on apprenticeships, career entry, promotion and self-employment.
The “Chance” fair was opened on Friday by Prof. Dr. Armin Willingmann, Minister of Economics, Science and Digitisation of Saxony-Anhalt. In his welcoming address, he emphasised the importance of dual vocational training and expressed his satisfaction with the positive response and the achieved size of the job fair. „This is a good opportunity, especially for young people, to find out what profession suits them best.” To enhance this process, many of the approximately 300 exhibitors focused on a practice-oriented approach.
Changes were good for applicants to find a lucrative apprenticeship or actual job offer. This year, numerous companies took advantage of the opportunity to present their vacancies in the run-up to the job fair. The stands provided opportunities for first discussions, getting answers to questions and a first glance into the professional environment.

Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik exhibited a large truck that attracted many applicants. An LED wall was mounted on the trailer of the articulated truck. It showed the company's new promo video, but also videos on the various professional jobs on offer.
“A total success for us, especially because this year the fair took place in January and so before the deadline of the apprenticeship applications”, said Christina Raubold, personnel manager at Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik in Halle/Saale.
