The story of our business began upon its foundation in 1937, and today we have developed into a modern, medium-sized transportation and logistics service provider. Here are the most important turning points and milestones in our history:

Foundation of the company as an individual enterprise by Eugen and Theresia Finsterwalder |
| 1953 | Move to the Kaufbeuren premises |
| 1986 | Death of the Finsterwalder founder, Eugen Finsterwalder |
| 1987 | Management is passed on to Eugen Finsterwalder’s sons. The company's name is changed to "Finsterwalder Spedition und Güterkraftverkehr GmbH" |
| 1990 | Re-establishment of the Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik GmbH in Merseburg and Halle through the acquisition of former state-owned motor traffic and chemical enterprises in Eastern Germany |
| 1994 | New development of an office building in Kaufbeuren and the extension of national and international transportation arrangements |
| 1996 | Launch of the Mindelheim distribution centre |
| 1997 | Extension of the logistics business area through a first outsourcing project |
| 2000 | Klaus Finsterwalder becomes managing partner Foundation of the subsidiary c-logistics GmbH |
| 2002 | Foundation of the subsidiaries MIL Mitteldeutsche Industrie-Logistik GmbH and MKL Mitteldeutsche Kunststoff-Logistik GmbH Membership granted to the CargoLine Network |
| 2004 | The administrative staff moves from Merseburg and Schkopau to the new company premises in Halle |
| 2005 | Acquisition of the new company premises in Türkheim and the foundation of the A96 business park |
| 2006 | Relocation of the Kaufbeuren location to the A96 business park in Türkheim The company`s name is changed to Finsterwalder Transport & Logistik GmbH |
| 2007 | Launch of the Halle Railport Site extension to Marl |
| 2008 | Number of employees crosses the "800 mark" |
| 2010 | Investment of 100 additional new trucks |
| 2011 | Acquisition of locations Venlo (Netherlands) and Tartu (Estonia) from Penske Logistics Europe. All 108 employees and all 60 trucks were taken over. |
